The General Meeting of the Master and Fellows was established at the beginning of the twentieth century, and brings together all categories of Fellows who are entitled to vote. It is normal for the Council to accept decisions of the General Meeting. The statutes allow for a circumstance of the General Meeting overriding the Council in case of disagreement; however, the Council retains more or less absolute power over elections, appointments and the normal management of affairs.
