Guillemard, Francis Henry HillPlans for the restoration of the gate and the re-introduction of sun-dials, undertaken to commemorate the quatercentenary of the foundation of the College by Dr Caius. The renovation of the stonework was undertaken 1958-9 by W.H. Topper, C. Whittaker and A.G. Whitmore. The sun-dials were sketched by the Junior Bursar, and designed by T.A. Bailey of the Ministry of Works. A plaque commemorating the work was designed by Rattee and Kett.
