In all, six members of the Teichman / Teichmann family were members of Caius College, including two sons of Oskar who died in the Second World War. In October 1944, he sent a copy of his privately printed and circulated 'The Teichmann Family 1588-1927' to the Library: 'I have lost my three sons, and this copy belonged to the elder of the two who have been killed in action. As our family has been represented at this College from 1898-1936, I feel that this volume may be of some interest.' Oskar also sent this collection of the letters of Johann Georg: 'if you consider that these letters.. are of any interest to the Library, for historical research purposes, I will gladly give them, as I have no heir.'
