Scope and content

Martin Davy, the 29th Master of Caius, left his library to the College as part of his bequest. The collection was originally housed at the Heacham estate, which had also been part of Davy's gift to the College, until the Second World War, when it was moved into the main body of the College. The Librarian chose a number of books to be incorporated into the main College Library, and the remainder were housed in the Master's Lodge.

Catalogue of the Davy library, together with an explanatory letter by Joseph Needham.
