(1919- 2000) Zoologist. Admitted Gonville and Caius College Cambridge, 1937-38. Elected Fellow, 1946-50, 1960-1988; Life Fellow, 1988; Director of Studies in Natural Sciences, 1960; Tutor, 1960-66. Proctor, University of Cambridge, 1967-70. University Lecturer and Curator of Invertebrates, 1961-88.
