Administrative history
The Manor of Buristead, Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire was purchased by the College in 1614 for the sum of £2000 from the executors of Christopher Rogers. It had been in the hands of the Bishop of Ely until 1600 when it was alientated to the Crown. Much of the estate and the lordship of the manor are still in College hands.
